SC Rulmenti SA, one of the largest bearing manufacturers in Europe, continues to export goods
despite all the difficulties in the Coronavirus pandemic process with its 1.100 employees.
Anadolu Rulman A.Ş., a subsidiary of Bera Holding (ART Bearings) continues its production without
interruption despite the Coronavirus pandemic. Anadolu Rulman A.Ş, one of the two bearing
manufacturers in Turkey, started the production of tapered roller bearings for the first time in our
country in 2008.
It has been announced that it was decided to purchase 61,500 shares of Anadolu Rulman, a 100%
subsidiary of SC Rulmenti, Romania, the 90.70% of share belonging to Bera Holding, for 34.4
million TL.
Noting that nearly 70% of the bearings consumed in Turkey and in the world are ball bearings,
Tepe continued: “The size of the registered bearing market in Turkey has reached the level of 700
million dollars. Despite many difficulties, especially the pandemic, the Turkish bearing market is
expected to grow by more than 10 percent in 2020 As ART, we share the pride of being one of the
two manufacturers in Turkey in the production of ball bearings. Turkey's position in the world
bearing market, on the other hand, is increasing every year, despite the imbalance in domestic
imports.
Stating that there have been significant changes in the supply system in the Turkish bearing
industry in the recent period, Fatih Tepe said, “Due to the developments in the industry and
technological advances, the end users of bearings have become much more conscious. Instead of
supplying bearings focused on brand and/or price, needs-based and quality bearings are now
being demanded. These and other developments have started to ensure more conscious use of
bearings and to provide maximum benefit from the product as a unit cost.
Noting that as companies affiliated to the holding, amidst the pandemic, they are trying to closely
follow all developments related to Covid19, General Manager Tepe said, “While our focus is on the
health of our employees, great efforts have been made to simultaneously continue production. In
addition to the instructions and recommendations of our Ministry of Health, full coordination has
been ensured in our factories with the guidance of the 'Outbreak Coordination Unit' established at
the holding headquarters.
