Cylindrical roller bearings are radial bearings that can be disassembled.

The contact between the rolling element and the raceway is linear. For this reason, they carry

large radial loads. They can operate at high speeds.

Single or multi-row cylindrical roller bearings are produced by ART in various structural versions

depending on the arrangement of the ribs on the inner ring and outer ring ( NU, NJ, N and NUP)

Bearings of the NU design have an outer ring with two ribs and a flat inner ring. Bearings in the N

design have an inner ring with two fixed ribs and a plain outer ring. Because counter rings do not

have ribs, these types cannot withstand axial load.

Bearings with NJ design have two fixed ribs on the outer ring and one fixed rib on the inner ring,

which guide the shaft in one direction. They can carry axial load in one direction.

Bearings with the NUP design also have two fixed ribs and support washers on the outer ring. This

enables the bearing to locate the shaft axially in both directions, functioning as a stabilizer bearing.

NUP type can withstand axial loads from different directions.

NJ and NUP types are fixed bearings. As cylindrical roller bearings are separable they are easy to

assemble and disassemble.
