Spherical roller bearings are non-separable bearings whose outer raceway is characterised by

hollow spherical design.

Spherical roller bearings operate in harsh conditions and are suitable for large and pulsating radial

loads. They also handle large axial loads. They put up wear resistance against continuous vibration,

misalignment, and shock loads.

Shaft bending and misalignment of the bearing housings can be compensated, since the outer ring

has two rows of symmetrical rollers that can self-align in the outer ring sphered raceway. Their

angular freedom is between 0.5° and 2°, depending on the bearing series and rotational speed.

They have cylindrical or conical holes.
